2026 Mooselight Monctonian General Tournament Rules |

1. |
Red Line is used for icing the puck purposes only.

2. |
Games are 2 periods, 17 minute stop time, with a flood after each game, as time permits. (Tournament committee’s decision)

3. |
Ties in round robin games may be broken with a sudden death 5 minute, 4 on 4, stop time period. Two points for the win, 0 points for the lost. One point to each team if still tied.

4. |
Ties in finals will be broken with a sudden death 5 minute, 5 on 5, stop time period. A 3 man shoot out will follow if still tied. Players in shoot out will start at the same time from center line.

5. |
A running time mercy rule will apply with a spread of 5 or more goals in the last 7 minutes of each game. (There will be no reverting back to stop time for the balance of the regulation game)

6. |
Only the tournament committee can decide in the cancellation of a game, after consultation with the game referee-officials.

7. |
Any player that uses or fakes a slap shot during the game shall be assessed a Minor penalty.
|
|
8. |
A player that contacts the puck with his stick above normal height of the shoulders will be assessed a minor penalty.
|
| 9. |
Any
player who is assessed three (3) penalties in one game shall be ruled
off the ice for the remainder of the game. A
different team player must serve the third penalty and immediately go to the
penalty bench. A double minor will be considered as two penalties. |
| 10. |
A player can only play on one team during the tournament and must play at
least one round robin game in order to be eligible to play in the final. |
